Beginner

For a beginner I believe becoming a safe driver means acquiring skills that go beyond those required simply to pass the basic driving test. My aim is help beginners reach this level before they take the test to ensure that they know how to drive safely for a lifetime.

Experienced

For the experienced driver I can help with assessment and structured tuition that will help you become a safer driver. This is particularly beneficial if your work involves you doing a high annual mileage or you lack confidence in certain situations.

Confidence

I have considerable experience helping people who are nervous or lack confidence to drive safely.  You will receive tuition at a pace that suits your abilities and meets your needs. This is very important as everybody is different and while some learn quickly others need more time.

Professional service

You will get a professional service.

• I am signed up to the Driving Instructors Association code of conduct (see link)

• I have full Public Indemnity and private liability cover in addition to the normal driving instructors cover.

• You receive a copy of my Terms and Conditions at the outset of any course of tuition. There are no hidden charges or clauses.

• I am punctual. Five minutes wasted in a one hour lesson amounts to adding nearly £2.00 to the lesson price. I will not waste your time or your money

You will have a fully qualified trainer committed to continuing professional development.

• I am on the Driving Standards Agency register and am fully committed to ongoing CPD.

•  I am a trainer for a large local authority on a variety of driver training courses.

• I have a DIA Special Pass qualification which is one of the highest driver qualifications outside of the emergency services.

• I have passed the Advanced Test with the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

Progress & pass rate

For a learner the number of hours taken to pass the driving test is less important than whether they make the best progress they can. However a good instructor will have better than average results over a 12 month period.

• My driving test pass rate is 50% higher than the national average.

• My pupils take less than national average of professional lessons.

• I keep a full historical pupil record.
